Working Before Pregnancy

Working Before Pregnancy.

At work I am exposed to an X-ray machine and chemicals every day. Will this be a problem when I am pregnant?
Get answers to these questions before you get pregnant. Many workplace exposures, such as X-rays and chemicals, could be harmful. If you wait to ask these questions until after you find out you're pregnant. you may have already exposed your developing fetus to various dangers during some of the most important weeks of development.

My job requires me to stand for a 10-hour shift; I'm used to it. Will this be a problem when I am pregnant?
Studies have shown that women who stand for a long time each day have smaller babies. If you have had premature deliveries or an incompetent cervix in the past, or if your job requires that you stand a lot, discuss the situation with your doctor.

I pay for healthcare coverage out of my check at work. Will this cover me when I get pregnant in a few months?
Not all insurance plans include maternity coverage. Some have a waiting period to pay for surgery or having a baby. Some may not cover your doctor or the hospital you want to go to. Having a baby costs a lot of money; find out ahead of time what your coverage is. Planning ahead may save you money and the trouble of changing doctors or hospitals.
