I've heard in the news about older women having more babies. What is the average age for a woman to give birth in North America?
A recent study showed that 27 is the average age at which women give birth. More women give birth in their twenties than at any other age.

But let's look at it in a more positive light. If you're 45, you have a 97% chance of not having a baby born with Down syndrome. If you're 49, you have a 92% chance of delivering a child without Down syndrome
