Asthma pregnant
Before Getting - Pregnant

Asthma pregnant.

Asthma affects about 1% of all pregnant women. Half of those women with asthma see no change in their condition during pregnancy. For about 25%, asthma improves, and for about another 25%, the condition worsens.

Most asthma medications are safe to take during pregnancy, but talk to your healthcare provider about taking any medication. Most people with asthma know what triggers attacks. While you're trying to get pregnant and during pregnancy, be especially careful to avoid things that trigger attacks.

Try to get asthma under good control before trying to become pregnant. (Read more about how asthma affects pregnancy in Week 28.)
